Fabulous sixth-plate daguerreotype of a fashionable woman wearing the latest styles.  The lines in her gown are tailored to perfection and she clearly sought out a topnotch designer and seamstress. The billowing sleeves along with the voluminous skirt had to make a statement on the dance floor! The wide piping patterns create a beautiful illusion and it is all offset by a bright white lace collar and black velvet necklace. Not to be outdone, her hair is flawless and compliments her outfit with a hint of a small ribbon peeking out from behind her head on the left side.  The image is in excellent condition with great tones and contrast and a hint of tint to her face.  The image had old seals and we have resealed with a new glass. It is housed in a full case. $80
